David Sheftell is a Los Angeles native who got into the arts through Theater in High School. David then parlayed his talents into a Theater Scholarship at Pepperdine University and accomplished a lot in his time there, starring in 11 shows in his 4-year tenure, including a stint in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. He was part of the Pepperdine Improv Troup and became the group's first ever 2-term President. After receiving his B.A. in Theater from Pepperdine, David made the short move to Hollywood where his career in the world of professional acting & writing began. David has studied with some of the most renowned teachers in the industry such as Lesly Kahn, Howard Fine, and Robert D'Avanzo, as well as at UCB, The Groundlings, & IO West for improv.

David found work quickly as an actor, joining SAG-Aftra, and having appeared in Movies, Television, Mini-series, Commercials, and numerous Voice Over projects. For example "Stephen King's Bag of Bones" with Pierce Brosnan on A&E, “Willy’s Wonderland” with Nicolas Cage, "The Young and the Restless" on CBS, "Days of Our Lives" on NBC, and numerous cartoons such as "Family Guy" on FOX, "American Dad" on TBS, and "The Cleveland Show,” on FOX. He can currently be heard on the Facebook Watch series “Rival Peak” & “Rival Speak” with Wil Wheaton.

He also began his writing career at the Lesly Kahn studio, writing screenplays, television scripts, shorts, and sketches. His writing has been featured in award winning shorts in the 48 Hour Film Project and he has sold projects to become a member of the WGA. He is currently one of the hosts for the WGA-W podcast 3rd & Fairfax and has interviewed such other notable writers as Judd Apatow.

David Sheftell is also the Founder and CEO of Manticore Pictures.
