It wasn't until the 11th grade when his speech teacher, Mrs. Doris Warren, asked him to join the musical and recruited him for "Bye, Bye, Birdie" as the titular character, Conrad Birdie. Having known him as being both personable, as well as having hosted many talent shows, and being the President of his school, his teacher knew he would excel in this new role. He became heavily involved with community service in performing with the Pepperdine Improv Troup and becoming that group's first ever 2-term President. After receiving his B.A. in Theater from Pepperdine, David made the short move from Malibu to Hollywood where his career in the world of Professional Acting began.
